Zumba for Hope Party 2013 is our 5th annually Breast Cancer awareness and fundraising party, finally rang down the curtain at Centre Socioculturel, Lile-Bizard City at Oct 19, 2013 night in West Island, this event organized by Art Saving Life Foundation and Menghua Foundation, there are around 300 Zumba fans, enthusiastic people, caring people and volunteers participated in the annually charity diverse carnival event. The full name of this party is “Zumba for Hope Breast Cancer Fundraising Party 2013”, pioneered by Janet Liu and Lisbeth Mora by 2009, designed for breast cancer survivors and raise money for breast cancer research. Janet Liu diagnosed breast cancer in 2005, had another breast cancer surgery and radiation treatment in 2012. The love and brushes give her hope, spirit and courage during recovery, she setup Art Saving Life Foundation in 2008. The purpose of this Zumba for Hope Breast Cancer Fundraising Party is to bring awareness of breast cancer, encourage breast cancer survivors to have a positive and optimistic attitude towards illness and life; also to raise fund to support art therapy research and free foundation charitable programs.
The event hosted by Anny Cao, McGill University student. Lile-Bizard Borough Councillor, Diane Gibb represented Borough government delivered speech, great thanks Lile-Bizard City provides free space for this charity event. Famous Zumba instructor Lisbeth Mora and her volunteer team coaches always, are the brightest stars in the party, let us reaffirm their names to express gratitude: Geovanny Roque, Alejandra Gil, Elysa Monk-Bégin, Diego Arizala, Karin Perea and Jossy Perea.

Famous Montreal-based singer Rafael-Energia Dominicana sang three times. People danced merry dance, accompanied by loud singing, music and happy dense cheers spent a healthy, high-spirited, happy and meaningful evening.
The event raised totally amount $5121 which from donation, tickets, raffle etc, will benefit the Art Saving Life Foundation ongoing charitable programs and support art therapy related research and education.
