Reading and Learning to Enrich the Inner Self – Little Free Library House 2024

Reading nourishes the soul. Whether it’s professional books or literary works, they allow us to swim in the ocean of knowledge, broaden our horizons, and enrich our inner world.

As part of the world’s largest book-sharing movement, Little Free Library is a nonprofit organization that builds community, inspires reading, and expands book access for everyone through a global network of volunteer-led mini-libraries. Through book exchanges at these little libraries, millions of books are swapped every year, greatly increasing the opportunities for readers of all ages and backgrounds to access books.

Since the first Little Free Library launch event in 2014 in L’Île-Bizard, Montreal, book-sharing boxes have been installed across the area, promoting reading in a unique way. The Art Saving Life Foundation was invited to participate in this charitable project, and has been voluntarily promoting this reading initiative within the community. In 2024, we continue this effort, and these book-sharing boxes will remain freely accessible 365 days a year.

In the coolness of autumn, not as intense as summer nor as cold as winter, it’s the perfect time to pick out a few books and enjoy a peaceful moment alone. A curious mind never compromises with a dull life. Life is not just about rushing forward, but about feeling the journey along the way.

The Art Saving Life Foundation’s theme for this year is “Enrich the Inner Self through Reading and Learning.” By continuously learning new knowledge through reading, we not only sharpen our minds but also enhance our personal charisma, allowing us to navigate the river of time with greater ease.
