Kate Laux is an artist and art therapist who was trained at Concordia University’s Master’s in Creative Arts Therapies program, with a concentration in Art Therapy. Kate currently works as an art therapist at Cedar’s CanSupport based at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Montreal. Kate does group and individual art therapy with in- and out- patients living with cancer. Kate is currently working on a larger art therapy-based research project within a team of researchers. She will be facilitating several art therapy research groups for women with breast cancer, using a range of interventions including the artist’s book, doll-making, painting, sculpture, and collage.
